Having taken time off from the Ugandan girl group Blu*3, Lillian has blossomed into one of Uganda’s top female vocalists with a musical style that is described as a cross between RnB/Soul tinged with African & Western musical influences.
Her passion for live performances shines through every time she takes the stage, mesmerizing many an audience with her rich and powerful vocals. With her band the Sundowners, Lillian samples a repertoire of songs from the collections of artists such as Alicia Keys, India Arie and Lauryn Hill as well as original compositions with her band.
Lillian has a back catalogue of songs that have been very successful in East Africa and she is currently in studio putting together her debut album. She has already done collaborations with some of East Africa's top artists including Navio, Radio & Weasel, AY, P-Unit, Kitoko, The Mith, Keko, Cindy, Ekky & DJ Global.
Lillian has also performed at The Umoja Festival in Mozambique (2011 and 2013), sharing the stage with African music legend Oliver Mutukudzi, in front of a 30,000 strong crowd and on the occasion of Uganda’s 50th Independence Anniversary (8 Oct 2012) Lillian and the Sundowners performed at the Ugandan Embassy celebrations in Kigali, Rwanda in front of H.E. the President of the Republic of Rwanda, Paul Kagame.
Lillian also participated in Coke Studio Africa 2013 performing a remixed and up tempo version of her hit ‘Danger (Love letter)’, a remix of ‘Maria Salome’ with Temi Dollface (Nigeria) and a taarab song ‘Bahati’ with Culture Musical Club (Zanzibar).
