He was also part of the team that made a 17-track musical album with UNICEF National Goodwill Ambassador Stewart Sukumau, unveiled last year at the UNICEF annual child rights concert. Guert Geraldo also known as G2, is a Mozambican singer and producer. He specializes in R&B and Hiphop. He has received various awards and nominations especially in his home country of Mozambique. Some of them include Best young Mozambican music producer, Best Male Artist, Best Musical Album, Best R&B/Soul Duo, all at the Mozambique Music Awards
G2 was inspired by Busta Rhymes to start rapping. He has worked with and produced music for several artists in Mozambique including Dama Do Bling.
G2 started rapping back in the year 2000. He formed a hiphop group in 2001, which he managed and produced by himself. The following year, he felt that it was time to also venture into R&B, though he did not have training in singing. He bought a CD to teach himself how to sing. He produced his first R&B song in 2004, but was not too happy with the outcome.
He is a graduate of computer engineering and telecommunications.
