BIO

The Nigerian Dancehall siren Cynthia Morgan of the German Juice fame makes her debut on Coke Studio Africa season 4 in 2016. On the season, she is paired with Ethiopian artiste Henok Mehari. The two are produced by Nigerian music producer Masterkraft. The singer/songwriter fuses pop, hip hop, dancehall and rap. Her other successful singles include Come and Do, Popori, I’m Taken and Simatiniya.

CAREER

At the age of seven, Cynthia started composing songs and by the age of seventeen she recorded her debut single Dutty Stepping which featured General Pype. She then signed a recording contract with Northside Entertainment Inc. owned by Jude Okoye, and that’s how her career started blossoming.

MUSIC INTERESTS

Cynthia shot into the limelight following the release of two singles: Don’t Break My Heart and Lead Me On. They both received massive airplay and positive reviews from critics. It was her single German Juice however that went on to become her biggest cross over song.

BACKGROUND

Cynthia Morgan was born in Benin City, Edo State where she completed her basic formal education. At the age of three, she was already a backup singer for her mother’s musical band. She moved to Lagos in 2008 in order to further her music career.
