Efya is a multi-talented Ghanaian powerhouse with three albums to her name. Born Jane Awindor, her first musical attempt was a collaborative effort with Irene Logan, titled Irene and Jane Unveiled. The 2009 album caught on like fire in Ghana, allowing the singer, songwriter, performer and actress to firmly plant herself in the entertainment industry.

Efya first achieved national recognition after emerging as a runner up at The Future Talent hunt show, which landed her a three-year recording deal.

In 2015, Efya received special recognition at the Africa Youth Choice Awards. In 2014 she won the City People Awards for Best Female Ghanaian Musician and was nominated for an MTV Africa Music Award for Best Female Artist. She was voted Best Female Vocalist 2008 at the Ghana Music Awards and went on to win the same award in 2011, 2012 and 2014.
