His popularity has grown tremendously over the past few years thanks to a high radio and TV rotation, as well as his strong social media presence through his alter ego named Broda Taju, who likes to post short funny video skits to entertain and promote his music. In 2015, he went viral with his #ElloBaeChallenge prior to the release of the hit single Ello Bae.
Falz was born in Lagos, Nigeria and went to Olashore International School in Iloko-Ijesa, Osun State where he took up music as a hobby.
