Undoubtedly one of Africa’s most sought after artistes from Nigeria, Flavour N’abania is known for his blend of different genres of music from Igbo life, hip hop, soul and R&B. He commonly sings in his native Igbo and English. His hit songs include Nwa Baby (Ashawo), Ada Ada and Golibe. Making his third appearance on Coke Studio Africa, the super energetic and driven singer will be performing alongside Yuri da Cunha from Angola.


A career that started humbly for Flavour at the age of thirteen has today earned him four studio albums. His debut N’abania was released in 2005 and earned him the stage name N’abania (tonight). His other albums include Uplifted (2010), Blessed (2012) and Thankful (2014). Apart from singing and songwriting, Flavour’s dance moves can be seen in videos like Sexy Rosey featuring P-Square. Flavour has shared the stage with prominent international artistes like Akon, Rick Ross and Snoop Dogg.


Flavour’s unmistakable energy and skill in music production draws up from his mentors; Dekumzy, Isi Charles and Nnachie. He is also inspired by the legends he grew up listening to, including Osila Osadebe, Rex Lawson and Fela Kuti.


Flavour was born as Chinedu Izuchukwu Okoli. He started as a drummer at his church in Enugu State. His church pastor then introduced him to the owner of Soundcity music label, where he began to develop his talent by singing background vocals for musicians at the label. Flavour would later receive a scholarship to study music at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka. He also studied Business Administration.
