Madagascar’s power vocalist, Denise is definitely an African act to watch out for. Currently riding high with her new hit Allofo, she makes a debut on Coke Studio Africa 2017 performing alongside South African rapper Nasty C and Nigerian artiste Runtown – all produced by Shado Chris from Ivory Coast.


Denise came to fame in 2014 when she won the first edition of the Pan African song contest, Island Africa Talent. A favourite among fans from the start, her win earned her a recording deal with Universal Music. Her first release, dance anthem Allofo was shot in Lagos, Nigeria and is already garnering massive airplay across the region. Accompanied by talented producers Kimfu, High P, Black Kent, 2B and Thomas Azier, the artist also works with her husband Shyn, whom she writes and composes with. Denise is currently working on her first album, with which she intends to advocate for values such as unity and sincerity.


Denise’s sound is influenced by the traditional folklore of her home country and also draws inspiration from other African nations. Her passion for cultural exchange continues to drive her zeal her music. Denise is also a visual artist and is currently collaborating with designer Pierre-Christophe Gam for the Love of Africa showcase, where they intend to address diversity among African youth. 


The 28-year-old musician has spent half her life on stage, the only place where she feels right. Influenced at an early age by her family narratives, she dedicated her time to writing songs and hanging out in studio. She takes after her grandfather who was renowned for his musical talent. Denise dreams of travelling around the world and being in people's hearts.
