Ozane from Togo is a singer, songwriter and music producer known for the hit track Trouble. The dreadlocked-rasta makes his debut on Coke Studio Africa 2017 as a Big Break Artist paired alongside Patoranking (Nigeria) and Alikiba (Tanzania). Ozane, meanwhile, has just released his debut album “Lucky”, which features his most diverse musical influences yet.

Ozane’s career can be traced back to 2006, when him and his friends who were then part of a band called REBEL, released their first single Bomb at a studio owned by Just Masta of the Togolese duo TOOFAN. Ozane’s musical prowess has seen him work with various labels and artists from his country such as Elinam, Dzokukay, Yob, Spiv, Ricky Mo, Flammez, Kareem Malaika, and Dj Rick among others. Ozane has also set up a recording studio with support from his family, where he composes songs for himself and other Togolese musicians.

The multi-talented artist has earned a nomination for Best Song Dancehall Reggae at the Togo Hip-Hop Awards and Newcomer of the Year for his song Gnelova at the All Africa Music Awards.

Hosana Kokou Messan Kenou, also known as Ozane, began singing when he was 13-years-old. While spending time at his mother’s Cyber-Cafe business he discovered some beat making software and later went on to form a band with his friends from College and High School. They named themselves REBEL to pay tribute to reggae icon Bob Marley – a major influence in their music. From then on, Ozane has been making his mark in the music industry.
