Multi-talented artist from Mozambique, Shellsy Baronet, is famed for her hit single “Ultima Mocha” that was released in 2016. She makes her debut on Coke Studio Africa – 2017 on the Big Break segment paired alongside Eddy Kenzo (Uganda) and Bisa Kidei (Ghana).

Prior to her musical career, Shellsy was part of a theatrical group, where she was a dancer and model.  Her motivation to go into full time music however came when she was selected to be part of a children's and youth music competition in USA, where she emerged second. After the competition she went back home and got signed to “Game Over Entertainment” – under which she released hits like "Do not break my heart". She later released her first EP “Shellsy Baronet” which received massive airplay plunging her into the market. The EP featured her hit single “Ultima Bolacha”. From then on, her career has been on an upward scale and has seen her perform alongside artists like C4Pedro and her sister Zander Baronet. Shellsy has also been privileged to perform at the United Nations “World Aids Day” and the “Zouk Tropical Festival”.

With a growing audience, the multi-talented artist has cemented her name in the industry through her involvement in women empowerment and helping underprivileged schools within Mozambique.  She is currently in the studio recording songs off her first album, which will be released in 2018 and will include collaborations with artists from Lusophone countries and other renowned African artists.

Shellsy Baronet was born in Mozambique but spent part of her childhood between South Africa and Mozambique where her passion for music was realized. Her musical journey can be traced from her artistic background. At the age of 10 while studying in South Africa she joined the schools arts department and was part of the dancing, modeling and the theatrical group.  Her inspiration is derived from artists like Mingas, La Lizzy and Zander Baronet.
